Agiliance Secures Investment from Intel Capital
Mountain View, CA – Nov. 7 2006 — Agiliance, a leading provider of security risk and compliance management solutions, today announced that Intel Capital has invested in its recently concluded and oversubscribed Series B round. Intel Capital joins recently announced investors Walden International and Red Rock Ventures.
“We are very excited to see Intel Capital come on board as an investor,” said CEO Pravin Kothari, founder of Agiliance. “Intel Capital is one of the most important strategic investors in the high tech industry. We are pleased that our risk-based approach to security and compliance management has generated interest in the customer and investment community alike.”
“Agiliance has developed a compelling solution that helps to address a challenge many information security and compliance executives face at Fortune 2000 companies,” said Sean Cunningham, Director, Strategic Investments, Intel Capital. “We look forward to working with Pravin and his team at Agiliance, as the company begins to grow its initial customer base.”
The Agiliance solution enables organizations to analyze and decrease security risk, achieve continuous visibility of risk and compliance, and reduce the cost of complying with internal and external requirements. Its solution allows organizations to comply with government regulations and industry mandates by leveraging industry frameworks such as ISO 17799/27001, CobiT, FFIEC and NIST 800-53. The solution also enables organizations to continuously assess, correlate and quantify risk arising from compliance-related issues as well as other external factors, such as vulnerabilities, threats and incidents. Armed with this key information, users can easily prioritize risk mitigation and focus on risks that matter the most.
